Empowering Futures Primary Provision
At Empowering Futures, our primary-age provision supports children in developing the personal, social, and learning skills they need to thrive as they transition into secondary education and begin to explore future aspirations.
We deliver the ASDAN Key Steps programme as a fun, practical introduction to core skill development, focusing on areas such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, literacy, numeracy, and ICT.
Through hands-on activities and project-based learning, pupils gain confidence, work collaboratively, and reflect on their progress. The programme promotes responsibility, resilience, and self-awareness—laying a strong foundation for secondary school and early preparation for adulthood.
To further enrich learning, we incorporate ASDAN’s Lifeskills Challenge, which allows children to complete short, engaging tasks that reinforce key skills in PSHE, English, maths, and personal development.
These challenges also introduce vocational themes such as Hair and Beauty, Sport and Fitness, Construction, and Hospitality—giving young learners the chance to explore different career areas in a fun and age-appropriate way.
As learners complete each challenge, they build a portfolio of achievements and receive ASDAN certificates, celebrating their progress and boosting motivation. This approach supports a smooth transition into secondary education, promotes early career awareness, and builds the foundational skills needed for lifelong learning and independence.
