Course Overview
The Level 3 Certificate of Personal Effectiveness (CoPE) is a nationally recognised qualification designed to develop transferable, real-world skills including research, presentation, teamwork, communication, and problem solving. This 12-month, flexible online course is ideal for learners aiming to progress to university, apprenticeships, or industry-specific careers.
Delivered by Empowering Futures, this course goes beyond traditional study. Learners are offered the opportunity to embed a vocationally specific standalone course—from sectors like Beauty, Fitness, Animal Care, Business, Food Safety, and more—directly into their CoPE portfolio. This unique approach allows learners to align academic achievement with career goals.
How Enrolment Works – Transparent Onboarding Process
After purchasing the course:
1. Welcome Email & Login Details: Learners receive immediate access to our secure online learning portal with personalised login details.
2. Tutor Contact: Within 48 hours, a dedicated course tutor will make contact to provide support and discuss the learner’s chosen standalone vocational route.
3. Vocational Route Confirmed: Based on the learner’s interest (e.g., Eyelash Technician, Fitness Instructor, Animal Carer), a standalone CPD course is embedded into the CoPE delivery.
4. Integrated Assignments: The vocational pathway is fully integrated across all tasks, projects, and reflective work submitted through the portal.
5. Transparent Progress Tracking: Learners, tutors, and the awarding body maintain alignment through clearly mapped evidence and feedback records to ensure full transparency and quality assurance.
This structured yet personalised enrolment process ensures every learner receives tailored support, and the learning experience remains meaningful and recognised by the awarding body.
Course Units – What You’ll Study
CoPE Level 3 is built around six skill-rich modules, all of which allow flexible interpretation based on your chosen standalone subject:
1. Working with Others – Collaborate in a team environment (e.g., plan a group fitness class or salon event).
2. Improving Own Learning and Performance – Set goals and review personal growth (e.g., track skills development in lash application or customer service).
3. Problem Solving – Develop solutions to real-life situations (e.g., solve a staffing or scheduling challenge in your chosen industry).
4. Planning and Carrying Out a Research Project – Investigate a topic in depth (e.g., analyse market trends in beauty, health, or animal care).
5. Communication Through Discussion – Demonstrate effective verbal skills (e.g., role-play client consultations or team briefings).
6. Planning and Giving an Oral Presentation – Present findings to a real or simulated audience (e.g., pitch a business idea or service offer).
