Alternative Provision (AP) supports students who cannot attend mainstream school due to behavioural needs, medical conditions, SEND, or other challenges. AP offers personalised learning, emotional support, and structured pathways that help students re-engage with education and progress towards further study, employment, or a return to mainstream settings.
Established in 2015, Empowering Futures provides high-quality, accredited programmes for young people and adults. We are approved by ASDAN, Focus Awards, and CPD, delivering accessible and affordable courses across beauty, fitness, childcare, business, and customer service,—many with UCAS points.
Through personalised support and strong partnerships with local councils, we help learners build skills, gain qualifications, and move confidently toward their future goals.
Empowering Futures can be commissioned by any local authority. While our main base is in Coventry, we operate a network of satellite sites that enable us to deliver flexible, high-quality alternative provision across the wider region.
Students are able to travel up to one hour to access our provision. For learners who live beyond this travel limit, we may still be able to work with you if the local authority permits the use of one of our approved satellite sites—subject to their due diligence and commissioning checks.
Empowering Futures Alternative Provision is based at WEETC, Coventry (CV3 3AN) and welcomes students from across Coventry, Warwickshire, Solihull, and surrounding areas. Learners are generally able to travel up to one hour to access our provision, and we support families and local authorities in identifying the most suitable travel plan.
We currently work with students from areas including Coventry, Rugby, Nuneaton, Bedworth, Leamington, Warwick, Kenilworth, Solihull, South Birmingham, Hinckley, and surrounding regions.
We also operate satellite sites, meaning that if a learner lives beyond our usual 1-hour travel limit, we may still be able to offer a place, subject to the local authority’s approval, due diligence checks, and commissioning requirements.
Please note that our catchment list is not exhaustive — if you are unsure whether your area is covered, feel free to contact us and we can confirm availability.
These cover Coventry, Warwickshire, Solihull, South Birmingham, Rugby, Nuneaton, Hinckley, parts of Northamptonshire, and the outer Birmingham/Black Country ring.
Note: This list reflects typical travel times and is not exhaustive — many additional villages and outer-postcode edges also fall within the 1-hour radius depending on traffic.
